Separation of Powers
Political parties have done more than divide America.
The Constitution separated legislative, executive, and judicial power to prevent any one interest from controlling the entire government.
But Democrats and Republicans built an alternate, extraconstitutional structure that runs through all three branches, allowing party allegiance to reconnect the powers the Constitution deliberately separated.
There is no Democratic or Republican branch of government. But there is a partisan structure capable of controlling all three.

Repealing the 19th Amendment Is About Power
Not Voting
For a long time, Patty dismissed the movement to repeal the 19th Amendment as trolling. She doesn’t anymore.
Some advocates argue that women vote incorrectly, are too easily manipulated, or support the wrong policies. But liberty does not require people to make choices others approve of. It requires defending their freedom to make choices others may absolutely hate.
The 19th Amendment does not give women permission to vote. It tells government that a citizen’s right to vote cannot be denied because of sex.
No one has to agree with women, like how they vote, or approve of their choices.
But women’s rights are not conditional upon anyone’s approval.
Liberty belongs to all of us.
Open the Debate Stage
Colorado voters should have the opportunity to hear from all the candidates applying for the job.
In this video, Patty challenges 9NEWS’s debate criteria, including the 15% polling threshold for Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Eric Mulder, and asks a simple question:
How is a candidate supposed to reach that threshold when Libertarians often aren’t included in the polls?
Debates shouldn’t decide which candidate's voters are allowed to seriously consider. They should give voters the opportunity to hear the candidates, compare their qualifications, and decide for themselves.
Colorado’s unaffiliated voters now make up the largest share of the electorate. It’s time our political debates made room for voices outside the two major parties.
Put everybody on the stage.
Let the voters decide.
Speaker Johnson, CNN, and the Iran War

In September, when questioned by a CNN reporter about the Iran War, Speaker Johnson called the question “stupid” and said he has “nothing to do with the prosecution” of the war.
He’s the Speaker of the House.
As an American, I expect him to have an opinion.

Justice for George
and all workers at the World Trade Center Recovery and Cleanup Site
Stitch incoming, because I want everyone to know about George Allen.
George was a federal employee who volunteered for a temporary assignment at ground zero after 9-11 at the World Trade Center Recovery and Cleanup site.
When George returned to Colorado, he got cancer.
He believed it was caused by the chemicals and toxic air that he was exposed to while there.
The federal workers’ compensation system kept denying the connection and gave him the runaround until he died.
This release of 170,000 pages of documents revealing that government officials misled the public is enraging.
I want justice for George and everyone like him because this government hide and seek bullshit that kills people must end.

Why is Patty McMahon running for Congress?
